During this past spring break a handful of students were able to undergo a rewarding and humbling experience. The students were able to travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and offer their services to Habitat for Humanity, building affordable housing for those in need. Each selected student went through hours of pre-trip planning, the one week long hands on experience in Myrtle Beach and then participated in 12 hours of reflection after the experience. The students formed strong relationships with each other, the college and Habitat for Humanity. The work they completed has driven the students to be more active in their communities. It was an experience that, in their words “will remember for a life time”.

The link highlights a few components of their work.
