Suffolk County Community College is currently undergoing the self-study process in order to maintain accreditation with Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The steering committee, led by Dr. Lauren Tacke-Cushing, Dean of Instruction/Accreditation Liaison Officer and Daniel Linker, Professor, has submitted and received approval of the Self-Study Design Plan and is in the data collection phase of the self-study. The steering committee consists of nine committees with representation from faculty, staff, administration and students.  A site team visit will take place in the Spring 2018. At that time, SCCC will demonstrate that we are in compliance with MSCHE’s Standards and have an ongoing culture of assessment with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving our institutional goals.
