In the spirit of raising awareness and helping others we’ve created a video and photographic series concerning domestic violence. We hope you will take this opportunity to discuss this issue and consider sharing our work with your students, colleagues, friends and family. More than fifty of our students had their photos taken for this campaign: No More – Together We Can End Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault (see the link below to the photographs). Several other students did some role playing in the videos and other courageous domestic violence survivors shared their story on camera. There is contact information at the end of each video if someone needs help. There will be banners and flyers displayed throughout the three campuses and other event information to follow. It is our hope that together we can end domestic violence and sexual assault!
Thanks to all those that partnered with us to make this possible; NOMORE.org, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, Suffolk County Executive’s Task Force Against Family Violence, several Suffolk County agencies, and the Suffolk County Community College community of course :).
Lastly, special thanks to Alison Glutz, Lynn McCloat, Victoria Pendzick and Joan Wozniak for their tireless commitment to this initiative.
