CALL TO ARTISTS: 2014 Embracing Our Differences

The Suffolk Center on the Holocaust, Diversity and Human Understanding, Inc. is seeking submissions for the eighth Embracing our Differences annual outdoor art exhibition.

Perhaps you, or someone you know would like to participate in this worthy endeavor. Each year Long Island artists, professionals, amateurs, teachers and students create works that interpret and explore the struggles and joys of living in a diverse community, and/or the impact of prejudice and hatred on human dignity. Selected artwork will be displayed as 16’ x 12’ banners at multiple venues, and will have an enormous impact on building an inclusive society – one that rejects hatred.

Through this worthy endeavor, the Embracing Our Differences art exhibition, together with related activities and events, demonstrates that diversity enriches lives, and helps build communities that value inclusion and acceptance.
