Suffolk County Community College student, Dana Mondello, a resident of East Setauket, was recently recognized with a proclamation from Legislator Kara Hahn (5th District). The proclamation cited Ms. Mondello’s selection as a New York State Cooperative and Experiential Education Association (NYSCEEA) Student of the Year. This annual award recognizes outstanding achievement in, and contribution to, experiential education. Awards are given to one student from a two-year college and one student from a four-year college or university. Ms. Mondello is a Criminal Justice major on the Ammerman Campus of Suffolk County Community College and expects to graduate at the conclusion of the current fall semester. Her goal is to become a Suffolk County Police Officer.
