Babylon Town Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez recently recognized students from Suffolk County Community College’s Community Service Club for participating in the Town’s Adopt-a-Park initiative at Venetian Shores Park in Lindenhurst. The students worked to remove litter and refuse from the park and also fixed up any damage. Deputy Supervisor Martinez thanked the students for their hard work and discussed with them the importance of keeping our community clean.

The Adopt-a-Park initiative is part of the Town of Babylon’s Beautification Program. The program encourages residents of all ages to take an active role in caring for neighborhood parks, community beaches and playgrounds. Through the initiative, schools, local businesses, community organizations and scouting groups can work together to create cleaner, more attractive parks and beaches in our area. For more information, please call (631) 587-3752 ext. 6012.
