Legislator Tom Cilmi honored Bay Shore resident, Nell Rae Fitz, for her selection and contribution to “Art in the Alcove,” a showcase for local artists at the Suffolk Legislature Building in Hauppauge. Growing up on the shore of Long Island served to inspire her sculpture entitled, “High Tide”

Nell Fitz is a graduate of St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School, Suffolk County Community College and SUNY New Paltz, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts.
